2016. The fangirl review | Part 2

Here is part two of my 2016 review! There is one thing about "Vikings" that should be part of December, but it is a BIG spoiler, so I'll left it for a future post.
And because next time I write we will be in 2017... Happy New Year!! 馃帀馃帀

July
- Comi-Con. One day I will be rich and I'll go to San Diego and Comic-Con. Or I'll date on of the actors who go there and he'll take and introduce to me to everybody 馃槀馃槀

Same reaction for Jonerys

Supernatural Nerd HQ pannel was hilarious. Each year they are crazier and crazier 馃槀

August
- Stranger things. Who didn't watch this show? It probably was one of the best we had this year.

- Jared and his gifts during "Suicide Squad" filming. He got so much hate for this... And all because as he says, the press only talked about the bad ones and people don't bother to read more.

- UEFA Super Cup 2016. I always say that these trophies aren't interesting ant that they don't mean that much. If you lose, meh. If you win, you are happy at the end of the match and then meh. You don't wake up the next day smiling like an idiot as it happens when you win the Champions League haha

September
- Victoria. I loved this show. I wrote a post about it, you should read it 馃槒

- Kendall Jenner. I've always liked Kendall. I remember seeing Keeping up wit the Kardashians before she became a model, and liking her already. This year her style has been one of my favourites, and I feel like I've spent half the year defending her haha I still don't get why people hate her so much and love Gigi and Bella when they all are there for the same reasons. And the topic about her lips... Ugh. Yes, she retouched them. Can we move on and not comment it on every single photo?

On this photo she reminds me a lot of Adelaide Kane, the actress from "Reign"
And this is my face when people talk about her lips for the 245724321974 time

October
- Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexa: In the name of love. I think I've listened to this song almost everyday since the day it came out 馃槀 It definitely has been the song of the year for me

- Barry ruins everything but still is cute as hell. You can't be mad at him. Look at that face.

- New crush: Antoine Griezmann. He isn't new, because I've liked him since he played for Real Sociedad, but this year I got over the fact that he plays for Atleti (or pateti as I call them), and just enjoy him as his hair.

I want someone to look at me the way he looks at Koke

- Calvin Harris beard. I love beards. Give a guy with a beard and I am the happiest girl in the world. Calvin has always had it, but now there is more, not just a shade, and asdfghjkl帽. I love this look, so don't keep it just for the winter as you said Calvin.

November
- Richard Madden as Cosimo de Medici. I just started the show, and he looks so freaking good! I don't like the long hair, but still 馃挏 And even though the show has been online for a while, I've been able to avoid all the spoilers 馃挭

- Chris Wood as Mon-El on Supergirl. He probably is the best thing of season 2. I first saw him on "The Carrie Diaries" and 馃槏

- Father Dean Winchester is back. 12 seasons back.

- And speaking of Dean Winchester. Did you know that he killed Hitler?

December
- 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Elsa Hosk
Kendall Jenner. THAT body.
Josephine Skriver
- Supergirl- The Flash- Arrow- Legends of Tomorrow crossover

As I told you on part 1, I love crossovers, so I was really excited about this one. And I must say that it was as good as I expected. It is true that there were some bits that bored me, but the funny bits and the references to other shows and movies were great.
At first I didn't know if I would be a bit lost with the plot, because I don't watch Arrow anymore, but they did it so you can follow it even if you don't watch some of the shows. And if you don't watch Supergirl, you can totally avoid that episode. Only the last two minutes are about the crossover, and they are the same as the last minutes of episode 7 of The Flash so...

- New crush: Niall Horan. He isn't new either. I've followed One Direction since the "One thing" video came out, and I've always been a Liam girl... But Niall has grown into such a handsome and lovely man! And one with no scandals and problems.

- Ubbe and Ivar (Vikings). I fell in love with Ubbe at first sight. True story. Everytime there is a scene with him I stare at him like an idiot haha We haven't seen much of him as a character, but so far he is great.
The first time I saw Ivar it was really weird, because he reminded me of one of my cousins. And he still does sometimes. And to Harry Styles with short hair 馃槀 I know he is a bit "special" as a character, but I love him. I know he is gonna be as amazing as his father.

- Fifa Club World Cup. Another one of those meh titles that make your day better if you are a bit down. And that's all.

- Darling, just Hold On 馃挋

Series to watch: Victoria

I love historical tv shows/period dramas. Even if they only have tiny historical bits like "Reign" does.
So, when I read that Jenna Coleman (one of my favourite actresses) was going to play Queen Victoria on a tv show, I knew I had to watch it.

I don't know much about British history, and these kind of shows (like "The Tudors" or even "Outlander") are great to know a bit more. But you MUST take the things they say with a pinch of salt (I believe that's the expression used in English), meaning that you DO NOT believe everything they say. There always are some liberties (Victoria and Lord M... it didn't happen that way).

Season 1 tells the early life of Queen Victoria, from her accession to the throne when she was just 18, to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert. Besides the main plot there are others that at first you might don't like, but that at the end of the season are probably going to let you wanting for more (they are plots created by the writers, not historical accurate).
The season it's just 8 episodes, and ended last week. So you can binge-watch it haha Though I would recommend taking it easy. Season 2 has been announced to start in 2017, so we'll have to wait a bit to know more.

Along with the plot, the other things I've really enjoyed are the costumes, the music, and the backgrounds.
All the gowns Victoria wore are amazing. I especially loved the white/creamy ones. And the wedding dress of course. Did you know that the tradition of brides wearing white started with her?

The music, especially the theme song, is great as well. I watched this show with my sister, and everytime an episode started, we would sing along the "gloriana aleluya" xD

And the backgrounds... wow. All the palaces look incredible, though my favourites were all the outside scenes. The buildings and the gardens were lovely. One thing I didn't know though, was that Buckingham Palace has changed a lot!

So if you are interested in history (and are not too picky about the changes the writers do), like dramas, and gorgeous gowns are one of your weaknesses, you need to check out "Victoria" (she also is really cool. Little sassy queen as I call her haha).
