Woman Crush Wednesday: Adelaide Kane

These past days I've been lacking of ideas for the blog. The muse has left. So if you have any suggestion, I am all ears. I am thinking about doing a post about New York Fashion Week... we'll see how it goes.
Last weekend, while watching the new episode of "Reign", I found myself thinking how gorgeous Adelaide Kane was. And that's when I said: I have a woman crush! I need to share it! Haha
Adelaide Kane is an Australian actress known for playing Cora Hale on "Teen Wolf", and Mary Queen of Scots on "Reign". I personally found about her thanks to "Reign". I remember trying to watch "Teen Wolf" but it was impossible 馃檲
As I said before, I think she is gorgeous. She looks great with long and short hair, and I am obsessed with her lips. Rosie Huntington who? 馃槣 I also love her daily style. During a few months she showed her outfits on her Instagram account and now I miss it. She is a great actress too, probably the best on "Reign" besides the one who plays Queen Catherine. I hope that now that the show is ending, she gets new roles. I want to see her again!
And, last but not least, she likes cats. A lot. And so do I, do dear Adelaide, can we become friends? Please? 馃榾

Woman Crush Wednesday: Toni Garrn

Toni Garrn was one of the first models I followed when I got into fashion. Even though she isn't working as much as before, lately I've been more interested on the things she does and, especially, her instagram. She loves instagram stories, where she is really funny and shows a lot of behind the scenes of the shoots she is working on. And I found her even more gorgeous since she broke up with Chandler Parsons. It's like she is saying to him: "look what you are missing, you idiot!" 馃槤

Besides her work as a model, Toni also does a lot of charity work. She has her own foundation, the Toni Garrn Foundation, where she raises money specifically for projects advocating and advancing the rights of girls. And also, during New York Fashion Week, she organizes the Supermodel Charity Flea Market, where you can buy clothes, shoes and accesories donated by her model friends, (like Karlie Kloss for example). All the money they get is donated to charity.

And now that I've mentioned Karlie, their friendship is one of my favourites. Torlie started when they both were just two teenage girls, and it has survived through the years. Her other "model bestfriend" is Jon Kortajarena. I love seeing them together as well, their friendship is goals. If Jon wasn't gay, they will make such an amazing couple! And their kids would be the cutest of them all 馃槈

New series: Childhood's End, Emerald City & Aftermath (no spoilers)

Back in September I said to myself: I am not gonna start watching new series. I am struggling to be up to date with all the ones I watch already, I don't need more. And I was able to not start new things... until 2017 started. I blame Spanish tv for being up to date with the latest tv shows and my dad 馃槀

Childhood's end
"Written by Arthur C. Clarke and hailed as a revolutionary work of science fiction since its publishing in 1953, Childhood's End follows the peaceful alien invasion of Earth by the mysterious "Overlords", whose arrival begins decades of apparent utopia under indirect alien rule, at the cost of human identity and culture".

I watched this show with my dad, and we found out about it thanks to an add on tv. We saw the trailer and were like "馃槻 that looks promising!!" So we decided to watch it. It is just 3 episodes, though they last an hour and half I believe. And sometimes it is the longest hour and a half ever.
The idea behind the show is great. It is one of those that make you think after you watch it. But the episodes are so boring! I am sure the book is way better.
We have some known actors as Charles Dance (aka Tywin Lannister), Julian McMahon (Cole from "Charmed"), Mike Vogel (Barbie from "Under the Dome"), or Georgina Haig (Elsa on "Once Upon a Time").
For me it won't be one of those shows I'll remember, but if you like science fiction, give it a try. And also, if you watch the trailer, it is best if you do it here on the blog. If you watch it on YouTube there are BIG spoilers on the suggested videos list 馃檲

Emeral City
"Swept up into the eye of a tornado, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale is transported t another world - a mystical land in great peril, where an all-powerfull wizard has forbidden magic and rules over many kingdoms. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you've never seen it before, where lethal warrios roam, wicked witches plot in the shadows and a young girl from Kansas becomes a headstrong heroine who holds the fate of their world in her hands."

I must say I've never been a big fan of "The Wizard of Oz", but I know about the story and what happens. I also found about this show through an add on tv. The trailer is amazing!
It is different from everything I've seen before about this story. It is more dark, more adult. Though there are some little details made on purpose to remind you of the original story.
One of the things I liked the most after watching the first episode is the photography. Wow. Just wow. Even if the plot is weak sometimes, those landscapes and backgrounds make it worth it. Some of them are special effects, but others are real. They filmed a lot of scenes in Dubrovnik (Croatia) and the south of Spain. For example, the inside of the castle/palace we can see on episode 3 is the same place "Game of Thrones" used as Dorne, and Oz is the park G眉ell in Barcelona.
On this show I've also recognize some actors, both related to Jonathan Rhys Meyers somehow: Oliver Jackson-Cohen (I saw him on "Dracula", a show I started and never finished. He looks waaaaaaaay better on "Emerald City"), and Joely Richardson (Catherine Parr on "The Tudors"). There also is an actress, Ana Ularu, who reminds me a lot of Alexa Chung, especially because of her voice.
This has been the show I've liked the most from all the ones I am mentionning today. Pretty to watch and entertaining. I definitely recommend it. It airs on Fridays on NBC, and so far there are only 3 episodes available.

Aftermath
"The Copelands battle for survival after civilization comes to an apocalyptic end - and they are faced not only with plague - but the rise of supernatural creatures."

My dad saw this show online and downloaded it because it looked interesting, and after watching just one episode you could say it is... different. Weird. A bit wtf 馃槀
At first it makes you think of "The Walking Dead" or "Fear the Walking Dead". There is a family facing the end of the world, the intro is similar, it seems to be filmed on the same colours... But there are not zombies haha There is something else. And a supernatural thing that was what caught my attention. If a show has something the Winchesters can kill, I'll probably watch it. I am that simple.
Though the trailer looks great, I don't know if we'll keep watching it. It doesn't look that promising. We'll see how bored we are.

2016 Worst Fashion Trends

Before the year ended, someone asked me to do a post about the worst fashion trends we had in 2016, and I thought it was a great idea! If you ever come out with an idea I could write about, send me a message or write a comment. I would higly appreciate it 馃槉

To do this post I searched for the biggest trends on 2016 and chose those who are actually wearable, those I've seen the most on the street or online. Then I did a little survey on tumblr, and these are the results! I am talking about them from the most hated to least. Let's see if people and I share the same opinion.

Track suit + Heels

This is the trend people hated the most on the survey. And I totally agree. Why? WHY?
I like the sporty chic trend when you wear something smart and the some sneakers, but the other way around... nope.

Loafers

I like and dislike this trend. The ones open on the back are hideous. Especially the furry ones EVERYONE has been wearing. But the last ones, the closed ones, are pretty cool. I remember my mom had ones and I love seeing how she used to style them.

Band tees

I like this trend, but I get why people hate it. Seeing people wearing a t-shirt from the band you like, and that that person can't name any of their songs, makes you mad. It will make me mad. But fashion has these things, and they happen all the time. I remember years ago when everybody wore Ramones t-shirts and they thought it was a brand.

Putting that aside, I really like how they look when you pair them with smarter clothes, like the green skirt or the jeans and the blazer. The last look is from years ago, and it has always been one of my favourites. I miss seeing Frida on the runway and her street style.

Slip dress + T-shirt

This was one of my favourite trends of  2016, we don't agree haha
I remember wearing a white short sleeved t-shirt and a black tank top in top of it when I was a teenager and loving that look. This trend reminded me a lot of that, and I haven't seeing it that much on the street, just on blogs, instagram and YouTube. If the weather where I live would have been good, I would have definitely try it.

Puffer jackets

I totally dislike this trend. It reminds me of the jackets I used to wear when I was a teenager, and ugh.

Lace-up tops

Another of my favourite trends. My sister and I call them Eren Jaeger's t-shirts 馃槀

I have a couple of tops and I really like them. Though mine don't have such a huge opening. I think they are are really sexy and a different way to show cleavage. They look better if you have small boobs, but Anna Ewers (in the first pic) has boobs, and she looks great. I guess it depends on how comfortable you feel.

Old school logos

I didn't know about this trend until I started doing my research for this post. While looking for pics I realized I've been seeing people wearing old school t-shirts, sweatshirts or belts all the year around with Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Louis Vuitton or Calvin Klein old logos. Even adidas is using their old logo more often. It hasn't been that big in my opinion, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again in 2017.

Mom jeans

I love these jeans. And I blame Kendall Jenner for it 馃槀 They look SO good on her!
One of the things I want to check on the sales are the mom jeans. They say they look the best on girls with no butt, and I am a member of that team, so I want to see if it is true. Though I don't like that most of them show your ankles. You can't wear that where I live. Well, you can, and some girls do, but you see they are freezing. And I am not in the mood for that.

#MCM: Jensen Ackles

This post is called Man Crush Monday but, if I am honest, Jensen is my everyday man crush. And it has been like that since... 2007 I believe, when I started watching "Supernatural" (if you've been on tumblr for a while you've probably heard about "Supernatural". The fandom once ruled that site. Oh the good times, when people were respectful... )
As we say over here, Jensen is like "el buen vino", which means that each year he looks better and better, just like good wine (each year it tastes better) And I always say that he is the most handsome man I've ever seen. It might be an exageration, and I am sure a lot of people are gonna disagree, but man... He is perfect. Gorgeous eyes, amazing lips, he has freckles, he can grow a beard if it is necessary and look great with and without it, he has great hair, he is tall, nice body in general... And, besides all those physical qualities, he is an amazing actor, really funny, and basically anything you could wish for.

He can also sing. Yep.

20 (15) Songs Tag | Dance/Electronic music edition

The other day on tumblr someone asked me to post my playlist in this blog, but right now I am just listening to Martin Garrix, so that wouldn't be that interesting.
Searching some other stuff, I found a blog where a girl had done the 20 songs tag I already did, but just with K-Pop songs, so I thought... what if I do the same but with dance/electronic songs? That way I will be kind of answering the person from tumblr (I've had to delete some questions tho. I couldn't find an answer to them xD)

You could say that dance/electronic music it's my favourite genre. It is what I listen the most and what my dad has been playing in the car since I was a kid (and he keeps playing it). If you also like this genre, I will recommend you to listen to a Dutch radio called 538 (I listen to it online). They always play the newest songs (not like my hometown radios), and they have different stations to choose from. Highly recommended.

1. Favourite Song
I love too many songs, but right now, my favourite song is "In the name of love" by Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexa. I freaking love it. I can hear it three or four times each day and don't get tired of it. Tonight at the EMA's Martin and Bebe are probably gonna perform this song together, and I am gonna sing it at the top of my lungs as I always do even though I have a horrible cold and I can't breathe xD

2. A song you used to love and now you hate
I don't hate it, I still like this song, but I am really tired of listening to "Closer" by the Chainsmokers ft. Halsey. Everytime it is on the radio I am like: nooo, not agaaaaain!

3. A song that reminds you of someone
"Under Control" by Calvin Harris & Alesso reminds me of my sister. We always really get into it when we sing it. And we always sing it wrong even though we've searched for the lyrics a couple of times.

4. A song that makes you happy
"WIEE" by Martin Garrix. Everytime I listen to the wiii I start giggling like and idiot

5. A song that reminds you of a specific moment
"How deep is your love" by Calvin Harris reminds me of me, my dad and my sister singing it on the car. My sister and I would sing the lyrics, and my dad the auuuh. And my mum would be on the background hating us in silence xD

6. You know the lyrics of this song by heart
"Don't you worry child" by Swedish House Mafia. I really like the lyrics, and everytime I listen to it I get a bit emotional because it was their last song.

7. A song that makes you dance
All the songs I listen to make me dance, but right now "Lions in the Wild" by martin Garrix (I told you I mostly listen to him xD), always makes me dance. And "Spaceships" by Area 21 (also related to Martin haha)

8. Favourite dj/producer
Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, Avicii and David Guetta are my favourites. I am posting the first songs of them I ever heard. And fun fact about Martin and Calvin: I've been a fan of their music for years, but didn't know how they looked for a long time.

9. A song that you like in secret
I normally cringe at anything that sounds similar to electrolatino, but I really like this song by Deorro. Everytime Elvis Crespo starts singing I sing "suavementeeee", but it is not the same song xD

10. A song you hate
I don't hate this song, but everytime they play "This girl" by Kungs I have to turn off the volume. I am soooo tired of it. And at first I liked it.

11. A song from your favourite album
I normally don't download albums when it comes to dance music, and I believe most dj/producers don't publish them. The last album I downloaded was "Motion" by Calvin Harris. Besides "Summer", my favourite song was "Faith".

12. A song you can play with an instrument.
I can't play any song, but my sister can. She plays "Years" by Alesso. Such a great song!

13. A song to listen while driving
"Sun is never going dow" by Martin Garrix. You can sing and go nuts with the "instrumental" part.

14. A song from your childhood
"Blue (da ba dee)" by Eiffel 65. A classic.

15. The song you want to be played the day of your wedding
"Saturday night" by Whigfield (when I was a kid it was "sararei nai" xD). Where I live, everybody knows this song and the dance that comes with it. It is old, but pubs still play it, and everybody goes to the dancefloor and starts dancing. So it would be a great song to have all my friends and family having fun.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Castings Street Style

The castings for this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show happened this week, and that gave us a lot of street style looks.
I always say that models have the best street style, especially during fashion weeks. They wear normal clothes, not those weird outfits journalist and famous people wear. They are going to work, so you will see them with something comfy. But they also are models, so what the wear is always trendy.
In these pics you will mostly find black and jeans, looks that you can wear on your daily basis. And I feel they are not looks made just for models' bodies, that anybody could wear them.
Hope you like them and find some inspiration. I myself am gonna keep some looks 馃槈

We need to burn those shoes Sasha                                                            This is my favourite look *.*

I actually like his look way better than hers xD
