My top 5 Players from the UEFA Euro 2016

Last Sunday at this time we were trying to recover from the boredom the France-Portugal was (though it got a bit more interesting during the extra time). And there are two things I do when a football game is boring as hell:
1. I go into twitter/tumblr to see if everyone is feeling the same.
2. I focus on how gorgeous some of the players are.
That second thing is the one I am talking about today, my favourite players from the Euro according to how handsome they are. Some of them also are amazing players, and I don't know why, but that makes me feel proud, because I can choose someone who has the looks but also the talent xD
Now, do you have your bibs ready? Because we are gonna drool and we don't want to ruin our clothes or wet our laptops/phones. Ready? Ok, let's begin!

5. Aaron Ramsey (Wales)
I talked about him on my other post about the Euro due to his horrible hair (though as they say on this post, he dyed it because in order to control a dragon you need to have Targaryen blood haha). If we ignore his hair, he is cute as hell.

4. Eric Dier (England)
I remember when he scored with England and my whole timeline on twitter was like who are you and why haven't we met before?!?! Tall, blonde... We like that.

3. Ragnar Sigurdsson (Iceland)
On my other post I also talked about Iceland and how they won our hearts. And some players won more than that, like Ragnar. He has a cool name, and I told you we like tall blonde guys 馃槈

If you can, check Rurik Gislason as well. Sadly, he wasn't at the Euro. What a pity.

2. Antoine Griezmann (France)
I've had an eye on him for years, but it wasn't until he signed for Atl茅tico de Madrid that I added him to my list. It is very weird to feel bad for him when they lose against Real Madrid or not hate him when he scores against us, but I like having someone nice on the enemy xD He has also had very bad hair choices, but I've learnt to ignore them and focus on his face (he said that from now on he will have a "normal" hair because of her daughter). And yes, he looks like Martin Garrix! I thought I was mad for seeing that, but people on tumblr think the same.

1. Robert Lewandowski (Poland)
He had to be my number 1. Mi Roberto 馃槏. I must admit that I first fell in love with him because of his abs. Those wonderful and perfect abs. But our love was bigger than that. He scored 4 times against Real Madrid in the same match, eliminating us from the Champions League, and I didn't care. This season our love has become the greatest thing ever. It is not just abs. It is his smile, his cheeks, his eyes, the scar on his lip, when he smiles with the tongue between his teeth, how I celebrated his goal on the Euro with more passion that all the goals from my national team, how I've been watching things in German just for him, his friendship with M眉ller... I know he is happily married, and I like Anna, but that won't stop our love! 馃槣

UEFA Euro 2016 | My highlights

Yesterday ended the UEFA Euro 2016. We have a winner, Portugal (congratulations to all the Portuguese people reading this), and France ended on second place (I don't want to say that they lost because they didn't. They technically did lose, yes. But they also didn't. Losing is what Spain or England did, for example. You know what I mean, right? xD Also, big hug to all the French people who are reading this post).

During this month, we have had some football, a lot of extra time, and a lot of penalties. Just ask Germany and Italy. But this post is not gonna be about the sport itself, it is gonna be about all the things that surrounded it and that made me enjoy the championship. Those things that you comment on twitter and with your friends. Here are my highlights!

  • The channel that broadcasted the Euro where I live was shit, so if I wanted to watch other national teams play, I had to do it on foreign channels. I was very lucky and found a German channel that broadcasted all the games I wanted to watch and, in one of them (Wales - Slovakia), they had a woman as the commentator! I really like German commentators even though I don't understand a thing, and this was so cool to hear! Well done Germany, well done!

I don't know who he is. But have you seen those biceps?!?!

  • "Will Grigg's on fire..."
Who didn't end up singing this song? At any time? Anywhere? Because I did xD I remember listening to this song when I was a kid, so the rythm was already on my head. But after watching a North Ireland game, I couldn't stop singing it or whistling it. And neither did the people around me.
This video is from North Ireland's welcoming on Belfast. I think Will Grigg didn't play a minute, but he was the star of the team.

  • Iceland
Who would have thought that Iceland would be the revelation of the Euro?! Nobody! They won England, sending them home, and did better than the last winner, Spain! Their football might have not been the best, but they did won our hearts. The players (wink, wink), the fans, the way the whole country celebrated it... We all felt Icelandic! And we all loved this "viking" celebration. The first time I saw it I could picture Ragnar doing the same thing before attacking Paris.

  • Quaresma's tattoos
This is a highlight, but a bad one. Who told Quaresma to get that tatto on his face? Why? If you have read the "Game of Thrones" books, you may remember that certain slaves have a similar tattoo... And I was told that on "Orange is the new black" someone had a similar one as well. Yikes.

  • The hairstyles
This is another bad highlight. If you want to see the worst hairstyles, just watch a football game. Dear Lord. During this Euro we've had so many bad choices... Quaresma, Pogba, Hamsik... And though it hurts to say this, Ramsey. There were also two Belgium players with horrible hairstyles, but I can't find them. You can thank me haha.

Quaresma

Pogba

Hamsik

Ramsey

  • Wales and Alba Bale.
I said before that Iceland was the revelation, but so was Wales. It was their first time on an Euro, and they did amazing! They played great football and reached the semifinals. Congratulations to all the Welsh!!
Wales doing such a great performance also allowed us to see Alba Bale. She is so cute! I still remember seeing her during La D茅cima celebration, running like a mad thing through the pitch. And she keeps running and running! She is her father's daughter ;)

  • And last but not least, this video that I've been seeing everywhere today. A little Portuguese fan comforting a France supporter after the final. After all the problems we had at the begining of the tournament, it is SO nice to see things like this!

I think I've mentioned everything I wanted to mention. I've been checking my twitter feed to be sure xD If you have another highlights that are not in this post, please let me know!
I might be doing another post soon with my favourite players choosen by very technical reasons (who is the hottest haha).
