Met Gala 2017: What could Karlie Kloss wear?

A couple of days ago I was asked if I could do a post sharing my Met Gala dress predictions regarding what Karlie could wear, so here we are! I am open to more suggestions, so you can write a comment here or send me a message on tumblr if you have one 馃槈

Next Monday (May 1), will take place the Met Gala, probably the most important red carpet on the fashion world. Each year the gala has a different theme, and this year it is inspired by Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Gar莽ons. Have you seen the latest Vogue US cover with Katy Perry and the editorial? She is wearing that brand, and attendees should wear something like that... should. Because most of them ignore the theme and wear whatever they want/are told to wear. I still remember when Jennifer Lawrence wore a "lady" dress to the Punk theme gala... 馃檲

Keeping that on mind, I am almost 100% sure Karlie won't wear any of these dresses 馃槀 Last year she wore a dress made just for the gala, and very often they wear dresses that are customize just for this event. So I've chosen some gowns from the last Haute Couture season (it fits better with the theme than ready to wear) that I can see Karlie wearing. Some of them aren't her style, but I think she can totally pull them off. If I don't guess right, maybe someone else wears them!

Also, let me know if you agree with me, disagree, like these options... I want to know your thoughts!

Ateliter Versace
Karlie has worn Versace before, and she also was the face of the brand not that long ago, so it could be an option. The volume on the skirt, the pleats... it is a good option, though I am not that fond of the colour.

Jean Paul Gaultier
She used to be one of Jean Paul Gaultier's muses. I miss her so much on his shows! This dress is a bit "risky" and not her style, but she could rock it.

Giambattista Valli
Imagine this dress with Karlie's legs. Killer.

Giambattista Valli
I think I've never seen her wearing such a princess like dress on a red carpet, so the Met Gala could be a great day to do it. There were other dresses similar to this one, with different tops, but I liked this one the best (it is blue and that's my favourite colour haha)

Alexis Mabille

This might need some customizing, and maybe something big on the hair, like a big crown or a hood, but again, I think of her legs and boom!

Alexis Mabille
This one is not as bold as other dresses, but I love it. Maybe more volume on the hips and, again, something big on the head, and it could look great.

Alexis Mabille
I would also customize this one. Not sure if by adding more volume, or by changing the dress underneath.

Armani
When I saw this dress my first thought was: someone is gonna wear it. Or at least the skirt. If we change the top and make it no see-through, Karlie could totally wear it. She has worn orange before, and she looks great. But she should schange the shade of her hair colour, we don't want it to be all orange and look like a pumpkin 馃檴馃檲

Chanel
I am not a big fan of the feathers on the bottom, but there always is someone wearing Chanel. We might see this dress or others from the collection that were similar.

Dior
Karlie seems to have something going on with Dior, maybe just a contract that says wear our clothes, so it can be a strong option. On this show we saw a lot of hair pieces that were interesting. I personally loved this dress when I saw the show months ago, and I think it could fit on the gala.

Maison Margiela
This gown was everywhere on tumblr after the show. Everybody loved that face made of something similar to tulle, so I feel like we could see it on the red carpet.

Ronal Van der Kemp
I saw this dress, and I saw Karlie haha It is a bit bee/Kill Bill, but I like it. It also is a safe option.

Alexandre Vauthier
Another safe option. And legs again 馃槀 This could have been better for the Punk gala, but they don't care about themes so.

Alexandre Vauthier
The top is perfect. Not sure with that type of skirt or pants I would pair it, but it has to be the red.

Viktor & Rolf
When I saw this, it screemed Karlie to me. She sometimes has that masculine vibe on her daily styles, and she has rocked pants before. The top fits my idea of what I expect to see: big and volume. Add a cool pair of shoes, and you are done. This definitely is my favourite for her.

Zuhair Murad
 More volume and legs 馃槀

Zuhair Murad
This might not be the best option to go up the stairs at the venue, but Josh can always be there to help her 馃槈

Zuhair Murad
You know the drill by now haha

Zuhair Murad
And more pants and volume (as you have seen, those "skirts" definitely were a trend). It is another of my favourites for her, and she has never worn this designer.

My favourite looks from the Haute Couture S/S 2016 shows

As I said on my first post, I really like fashion, and from time to time I'll post about it. Though I don't plan to post my outfits of the day, that is not my thing. I am more about fashion shows, editorials, campaigns... And models, of course.

Today I am going to talk about the Haute Couture "week" and about my favourite looks. I am not an expert, I am still learning, so don't expect deep and amazing comments about the gowns. And there are gonna be a lot of photos, so brace yourself xD

  • Chanel
Chanel has never been my cup of tea, but sometimes they make nice things. The dress with the bow in the collar is my favourite one.

  • Jean Paul Gaultier
I normally don't like Gaultier. The gowns he creates are... too much. I know this is haute couture, but still... Though yesterday I found myself thinking that some looks weren't that "bad". (I also found myself hating Anna Cleveland with all my guts. She is SO annoying, ugh) This one was my favourite. The simpliest thing ever, but I like it.

  • Valentino
This is one of the shows that each season I am looking forward to watch. Their gowns are so pretty! And their hairstyles are always on point. Once the photos are out, one of the first things I do is to check the close ups to see the hair better and then to try to recreate it. Another thing I always do is to think in which show and what character could wear their looks. That's the fangirl inside me xD

  • Alexandre Vauthier
I didn't know about this designer, but it was among the top shows on Vogue and I decided to check it. The clothes are really sexy. If I were famous, I would definitely wear this two looks. The coat is beautiful, and gown it is perfect for a red carpet.

  • Alexis Mabille
I didn't know about this designer either, but when I saw it on Vogue it catched my eye. All the gowns have a masculine touch that I really like.

  • Zuhair Murad
He always does the same, and it always reminds of Elie Saab, but I like it. Gowns for fairytale princesses? I am in. The first dress and the bodysuit are my favourite. Well, the bodysuit is my favourite with capital letters. Love it.

  • Bouchra Jarrar
Another designer I've never heard about before. The dress paired with the boots is sooooo me. I really like matching girly dresses with more masculine, imformal and kind of rockish shoes. And the shirt and the trousers are to die for.

  • Ulyana Sergeenko
Last designer I've never heard about before. She also was among the top shows on Vogue, and I had to check her. I didn't like most gowns (too much for me), but I found this look amazing.

  • Giambattista Valli
I saw this show on the news and felt like I had to check the whole thing.

  • Elie Saab
And last but not least, my favourite. Elie Saab. I looooooooove his gowns. He always does the same, I know, but it doesn't matter. If I were rich, I would get married wearing one of his dresses. And if I were famous, I would choose him for the red carpet. It is known. Also, just as with Valentino, the hair styles are always flawless. Even the make up.

Hope you liked it and didn't die among so many dresses and pictures ;)
Talk to you soon!
