2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show | Review

I've spent the last 10 minutes thinking how to start this post, but nothing happens, so let's get into business without a cool intro😁

I've read a lot of bad reviews about the show, but I liked it. I don't know if it is because my taste is broken (does this exist in English?🤔😂), or because I haven't been watching the shows for that long and I haven't seen the old good days. But, even though I liked it, I must say there were a lot of meh moments, and I mostly paid attention to my favourites. Also, I am just talking about the models and the performers, because my thoughts about the outfits haven't changed since my last post.

The intro was a bit meh (yep, we already are with the meh haha). I liked the intros they used to do presenting the angels and the artists, and I missed it this time.

Punk Angels
I am not the biggest Candice fan, but she had a great opening. The idea of two models walking at the same time wasn't bad, but most of them didn't look coordinated. Martha and Stella 🤦 Ale looked great, but then you have Lily next to her looking very serious, and she ruins the moment. Karlie and Cindy did great (tbh, I liked Karlie's attitude on this segment better than on Winter's Tale), Alexina 😍 and Grace and Ming Xi were perfect. My dear Harold (aka Harry Styles) nailed it too. The song is amazing, and those dance moves!! He also let the models do their thing, which is higly apreciated. Though that hello/goodbye at Jasmine at the end is 😍 

Between segments video: This was cute. I liked seeing how much the outfits have changed since Adriana and Ale started walking until now. 


Porcelain Angels
It was such a shame that Josephine had a bad walk day... I don't know if it truly was because they wings were too heavy, but htey had to cut most of her opening :/ And on this segment, besides her, the only one I like is Blanca. She nailed it 😍 The performer, this Miguel guy... Meh/I didn't like him. 

Between segmetns video: Most people hated this JoJa video, and was like... ok. I would have prefered if they had shown some of the workouts they do on their instagram account, but I didn't hate it. Another thing people have complained about is that they showed Josephine a lot during the videos and backstage, but I won't complain about that. She is one of my favourites, and she is basically living of VS while probably ruining her career on HF, so they better give her something important now that Ale left.


Winter's Tale
This segment will be remembered as the one where Ming Xi fell. Even though I don't feel bad about her falling because that happens all the time and it probably is the most important thing she has done on her career, I don't like the way VS showed it. They were cruel. First they show her all happy and nervous because she is on her city and her family are there, then the fall, and the her crying. Rude. I would have left only the part of the fall and Gizele helping her, and also Lily's hug, showing that they care for each, friendship, team spirit. But nah... 
Karlie's outfit on this segment was my favourite, but she ruined it with that Adriana moment 🙈 And Martha closing 🙈🙈🙈
The singer was ok. If you think about it, Hamilton has been huge this year, so it kind of made sense having him. And I really like what he said at the end: It happens to the best of them. Sometimes you fall, but get back up. Fall down 7 times, get up 8.

Between segments video: I really like Grace, so I wasn't bothered by this video either 😀 And Zuri... doesn't she look like a girl from Disney Channel, from that Descendants movie? 🤔


PINK
From PINK my favourite thing was Grace, she was amaaaaazing, and also the performer. That song is totally my thing.

Between segments video: This was another cute video. The photos of the girls when they were kids💜


Nomadic Adventure
Here is where most people got mad at VS. This was filmed as the last segment, and Alessandra, who is leaving the brand, was closing. Who was the idiot who chose to not close the show with this segment? WHO?!?!?! 😒 And not making a quick video about Ale and her best moments, something like what they did last year with Adriana... 😒😒😒 I am mad and I've never liked Adriana as a model 😂 On this segment I liked Elsa and her Swarovski outfit, Romee, and Cindy. She did great both times she was on the runway, and I think I have to start paying her a bit more of attention. Ale did an Adriana at the end, but it wasn't annoying to watch it was the moment to do it. And Miguel, again, meh.

Between segments video: It was ok too. The allowed the performers to say something, and I think they usually don't do that.


Goddesses.
This was my favourite segment. The outfits, the music... perfect 😍 Romee did a great opening, she looked gorgeous, same as Taylor, though she went a bit unnoticed (same as the Fantasy Bra. Again. Though not as much as other years). Sanne did great too, though they barely showed her (a lot of people complained about them barely showing the models) And Blanca 😍😍😍😍 Thank you VS for showing her so much. And Harold was perfect again. The only bad thing on this segment was the closing. Why Vanessa? I was curious about how she would do, and she disappointed me. You can't close the show with that VS, you can't.

2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show | My favourites

Happy VSFS hangover!!😀😀
This year the show has been surronded by a lot of drama (the performers, the visas...), and it seems it affected the mood of everything. But oh boy, how I've missed the craziness that comes with this show!! Waiting for photos, searching for them, posting them, checking the forums and reading 10 comments for minute, all the rumours... It is a bit stressful, but so fun! And this year, because of Karlie's come back, I've enjoyed it even more.

On this post I am just gonna post the outfits I've liked the most, and I'll leave my opinions about everything to the post I'll write once the show has aired. But, here you have a little video they released yesterday. Martha 🙈🙈

Punk Angels
This segment looked better on the previews than on the photos, but we'll see when they move. I've chosen these two outfits because the jackets are 😍

Porcelain Angels
Besides PINK, this is the segment I disliked the most.

Goddesses
This is my favourite segment. Give me anything kind of princess like or with ancient Greece vibes, and I am yours 😍😍 Also, Blanca Padilla looked stunningly gorgeous. I'm totally obssesed with her look and how beautiful she looked.

Nomadic Adventure
This segment was such a déjà vu from some of last year's show... The colours were beautiful, but just that. And yes, I like Romee's look 🙈

2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show | Who I am looking forward to seeing

5 days until the VSFS is being filmed. The models are already travelling. And what do we know the show? Barely nothing. We don't know who is performing, the name of each segment hasn't been 100% confirmed, the cast isn't close (there was a contest with Chinese models and we don't know who won, plus the problems with the Russian models)... We only know who got the Fantasy Bra (Lais), and the Swarovski outfit (Elsa). I don't know if they are trying to create hype, or it's jus them being a disaster.

Anyway, this post is about the models I am looking forward to seeing on the show. This year I am really lucky, because all my current favourite models are walking!! They might not get anything big, but I am gonna fangirl SO much 😍😍😍


Karlie Kloss
I had to open the post with her. After last year's false alarm, she is back, this time for real (though just for that, she isn't an angel or is back to working with them). I never was a big fan on Karlie on VS, but I loved seeing her on the runway. It is always nice seeing someone who knows how to walk 😉

Josephine Skriver
She is my favourite angel. I've been following her career for years now, and I got so excited when she became an angel! She totally deserves it. She has the face, the body and the attitude. There are rumours that say that she will open the show. If that happens, I know I'll die of fangirlsm (does that word exist?) 😂

Elsa Hosk
My other favourite angel. Today I described her to someone as my Swedish fairy who loves to be naked haha She is gorgeous, and even though I think this year she is a bit thin, I know she'll kill it. That Swarovski outfit isn't the prettiest thing, but she makes it pop.

Romee Strijd
I've always liked Romee, but it wasn't until she started her YouTube channel that I became a real fan. She's beautiful and knows how to walk that runway.

Taylor Hill
She isn't one of my favourites, and depending on the day I like her or she is indifferent, but right now I am on the liking mood haha

Grace Elizabeth
Grace is PINK's spokesmodel, and she will walk on that segment (probably opening or closing it. Or both). They say that because of her contract she won't walk on the other segments, but I would love to see her. If nothing weird happens I think she'll be one of the future angels.

Can we also talk about those cheekbones?

Blanca Padilla
So proud to see my fellow Spaniard walking the show again! 😍😍 She is looking amazing these days, so I hope she gets a cool outfit (maybe two since some models aren't walking) or some wings, and that she gets to properly show it (*ejem ejem* Miss TS *ejem ejem*whoever edits the show).

Sanne Vloet
Her looks on the show have always been among my favourites, so I hope this year happens the same. On the last show she got two outfits, so fingers crossed the same happens next week. Those legs and that face deserve it.

Among the new faces, I am really curious about Alexina Graham and Vanessa Moody. If Alexina does good, she could have a future on the brand. Vanessa, on the other hand, is very HF, so we'll see if she can make this work too.

#TBT: Kendall Jenner Style in 2016

This is a post I've been wanting to write for a long time, and now I've finally found the inspiration to do it 😁

Kendall is one of my favourite models, even though I know she isn't that good. I remember watching KUWTK before she started walking shows and getting covers and campaigns, and liking her already. She was different than her sisters, and I felt identified with her. 
But, besides that, I also used to be a big fan of her style. I think it was this year when she changed her stylist, and now I don't like most of her looks. She used to wear very basic outfits: jeans (she looks good on all type of jeans, and that makes me really jealous haha), crop tops, basic colours... and the different touch was on the jackets, bags or shoes. Simple looks most of us can recreate with our own clothes, real inspiration. Now I barely see that, and I miss it. 

Her 2016 Coachella looks. How amazing did she look with the dress?! And the hair 😍

The look on the left is one of my favourites. Basic as hell, but I love it. And that jacket 😍

The outfit with the skirt is another of my favourite ones.

The dress on the left isn't very pretty, but it fits her like a glove and shows how amazing her body is.

I hate white boots, but on the left look I don't hate them much. These days she wears them all the time and 🙈🙈 The look on the right is another very simple and basic one, but 😍

The outfit on the right definitely is on my top 5 Kendall looks. Gorgeous from head to toe.

2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Dreamed Playlist

Once the Fantasy Bra is announced, the next big thing about the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show probably is who will perform. Rumour has it Harry Styles and Taylor Swift are the chosen ones (though last minute rumours also mention Katy Perry 🙊). They still have two weeks to announced it, so while we wait, I thought I could do a post with different songs and artists I would like to see on the show.

My first idea was to chose a couple of songs for each segment, some to be performed live and others to be part of those great remixes VS used to make, but it is a bit difficult just with the names and without seeing the outfits. So I'll name the songs and if I think they fit a segment, I'll write it. 

Also, I am sure I am forgetting great songs and artists we've listened through the year that would be amazing for the show, so you can let me know on tumblr! I'm sure we can make a cool playlist 😉


Harry Styles -- "Kiwi" & "Carolina".
Before the rumours started, Harry was one of the artists I wanted to see, so I'll be happy if he does perform. "Kiwi" is my favourite song on his album, and I think it could fit on the "Punk Angels" segment even though it isn't a punk song. I honestly don't know what they are gonna do there.

"Carolina" is a great song as well, and I think it could fit on most segments. I see the models being all flirty while posing and having this song on the background.

Camila Cabello -- "Havana"
This was a song someone suggested me on tumblr when it came out. At first I was like meh, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. It's a song that has a nice rhytim, and it fits with the models walk. "Nomadic Adventure" is the segment where I would use it.

David Guetta & Justin  Bieber -- "2U" ; Justin Bieber -- "Friends" 
Again, before the rumours, Justin was the artist I was putting my money on. He has new music, was part of a the song (or nightmare) of the summer, aka "Despacito", seems to be more focused, and on the David Guetta's song the angels did a video... It screamed VS everywhere. But, apparently, he is banned from China, so he can't perform. And it's a shame, because both this songs fit with the show.

Dua Lipa -- "New rules" ; Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa -- "Scared to be lonely"
I would love to see Dua on the show. She has a great voice live, cool songs, and people love her. For the past months I am seeing her everywhere on tumblr, and also on a forum where I post. She has never sang on the show, and even people who don't like her music style or aren't fans liked the idea of seeing her perform. She is perfect VS!! I would use "New Rules" on "Goddesses".

I love "Scared to be lonely" (Martin is my bae), and even though it is a bit slow, if Ellie Goulding sang a ballad, this song fits perfectly. They could have Martin and all the collaborations he has done lately (Dua, Bebe and Troye) plus some of his remixes, and the show is covered. But that's asking too much 🙃

J Balvin, Willy William -- "Mi gente"
This song is eeeeverywhere. And the rhytim is so catchy! I would put this song on "Nomadic Adventure", and maybe opening the show, people would instantly be on the mood for more. But it has to be this version and not the one with Beyonce. They've totally ruined the song. Also, picture Karlie and her legs walking at the same rythim as this song. Amazing.

Demi Lovato -- "Sorry not sorry"
Demi has already work with VS on a swim special, so why not have her on the show? She would probably have to edit a bit the lyrics of this song, but it fits the show perfectly. Like Dua's song, I would use it on "Goddesses". It's as if I want to be that segment to say "women rock, don't mess with us" 👊

Calvin Harris -- "Feels"
I'm adding Calvin because I love him, but I honestly don't see this song on the show. It's too... hippie? I don't know haha The only one that could fit is "This is what you came for", but I don't see Rihanna coming back toVS.

Niall Horan -- "Slow hands"
Niall also was one of my dreamed performers. And let's be honest. He would definitely love being on the show 😉 "Slow hands" is such a sexy song, it could fit on most segments.

Charlie Puth -- "Attention"
Charlie's name is another one I've seen a lot on the forums besides Lua when talking about performers. And I agree with them. Even my dad likes this song, so 😂

Miley Cyrus -- Malibu
Miley is back, and any of her new songs could be part of the show. I would choose "Malibu" for the "Nomadic Adventure" segment. Yes, with "Havana". See what is happening there? Haha

Portugal. The Man -- "Feel it still"
This song is everywhere at the moment, and it's another option I would use to open the show, maybe with some retouches. Though the rhytim already is great for the walk of the models.

Imagine Dragons -- "Thunder" & "Believer"
Imagine Dragons complete that list of artists I see everywhere when talking about the performers. Could the fit the "Punk Angels" segment? They could. I'm just choosing their last singles, but I would love to see any of their songs on the shows. They are a great band, and I'm sure the singer wouldn't steal the spot.

BTS -- "DNA" & "Not today"
They scream PINK and you know it! And having a segment called "Millenial Pink", they are perfect. It's such a shame they can't perform in China because of other things... My sister loves them, so I know most of their songs haha All of them would be great for the show. And they choreographics are insane (I love the one on "Not today"), so they could perform a song before any of the models came out, as VS used to do, and then song another with the models walking the runway.

2017 Halloween: The models' costumes

Oh, hey, look at that. I'm back to writing here! 😮😂
This month I was planning to bring back the blog to post about the VSFS, and when someone suggested me on tumblr to write this post, I thought it would be a way to kind get into the writing mood again. I don't know if after the show I'll keep posting, but I am open to suggestions about what I could write about.


The anon who suggested this post asked for a top 10 of my favourite costumes worn by the models, and to comment them a bit. I am not the biggest fan of costumes and dressing up, so it hasn't been easy. And there aren't 10 looks, but almost 😁

Karlie Kloss as Marilyn Monroe

I'm starting with one of the less Halloween costumes. It might be because I've grown up with Halloween is for scary costumes and Carnival for whatever you want, that I don't usually don't like it when celebs or people in general dress as something "normal". But this year Karlie has been an exception. How gorgeous did she look?!?! From head to toe. 

Behati Prinsloo as a pregnant skeleton

 No, it isn't the most original costume, but at least if fits the Halloween theme 😁 I like the make up and the wig, and the pregnant detail is really cute. We've already seen it, but it is cute.

Barbara Palvin as Gollum

I loved this costume when I saw it on her stories. Easy, cool, and on theme. One of the most beautiful women out there turned into... that 😂 It probably is my favourite costume this year.

Sara Sampaio as Zombie Red Riding Hood

Red Riding Hood is one of my favourite characters. I loved that story as a kid, and I dressed as her more than once for the Carnival (I still own the costume and wear it to play with my little neighbours 😂😂). When I saw Sara I instately liked it. The make up is great, and so is the dress and the hood. If I had to dress as something for Halloween, I would probably choose something like that.  

 

Heidi Klum as Michael Jackson on "Thriller" 

I had to have her on this list. The queen of Halloween. Heidi Klum. Even though it isn't one of my favourites this year, how cool and amazingly well made is that costume?! 

Imaan Hammam as Slash   

This costume is like Karlie's, it doesn't fit with what I expect from Halloween, but I like it a lot. Simple yet effective. Though I am sure a lot of people didn't get what she was dressed at. 

Josephine Skriver as Hannibal Lecter  

Or a costume inspired on him. Josephine usually wears great looks for Halloween, and always on theme. One of my favourites is the skeleton she was a couple of years ago. The make up was amazing! But she wasn't as scary as this year. She was totally feeling the character, and there are some creepy videos out there 😂

Grace Elizabeth as (sexy) Maleficent

Another thing that happens pretty often on Halloween, besides not dressing that scary, is going sexy. Why? No idea. Grace kind of followed that path. The horns and the make up are great, and if she had worn something more similar to the real costume, it would have been perfect. 

My Karlie Kloss Favourites: Hair moments

Before I get into the post I have to say a couple of things. 
First of all: this might be one of my latest posts in a while. Why? Because my muse is gone, and I don't like writing things without being totally into them. I might come back from time to time if someone on tumblr asks me to write something, or if I feel like it (I will probably come back when Pretty Little Liars ends to complain about it haha), but it won't be every week as I do now. 
The second thing, is that I've been thinking about opening an instagram account inspired on the blog. Over there I would post photos related to fashion, tv shows, crushes, photos than inspire me, some of my favourites... those things. If you like the idea, please let me know on tumblr, I would like to read some feedback! And once that is said, let's get into the post. 

This is the last part of the Karlie Kloss favourites someone asked me to do a long ago on tumblr. Sorry it has taken me so long 🙈
This person asked me to choose my favourite hair moments, and here they are. You will probably notice I have a thing for loose buns and basically loose hair with some waves, though there are some more slick hair styles I also like. And about colours, my favourites are her original light brown and the first blonde she wore, not that kind of orange she has now.
